Lady Vols Softball World Series Bound!

Our Lady Vols Softball team has beat # 2 Michigan to head to Oklahoma for the World Series of Women's Softball. "With a UM record crowd of 2,479 packing the Wilpon Softball Complex to support their Maize & Blue on a sun-drenched Friday afternoon in Ann Arbor, Mich., the home crowd watched No. 15 Tennessee (47-13) utilize the long ball and more stellar pitching to wrap up its stunning two-game sweep of No. 2 Michigan (49-8) with a 4-3 victory in NCAA Super Regional action.
The victory punched the UT program's fourth ticket in six years to the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City, Okla., slated for June 3-9. Michigan had entered the series against Tennessee on a 36-game home winning streak before falling twice to the Lady Vols.

With the triumph the Big Orange improved to an incredible 8-2 all-time in the NCAA Super Regionals and is now a perfect four-for-four in advancing to the WCWS."
