A New Autism Study

In keeping with the theme of "House Rules," I just read about a new autism study — the largest of its kind —"released Wednesday revealed that people who have autism spectrum disorder either lack or have extra copies of multiple genes vital in the development and function of the brain.
More than 120 researchers, including two at Vanderbilt University, finished the five-year international study and published it in the journal Nature. The results could lead to new ways of studying and looking at autism, a neurodevelopmental disorder that inhibits a person's ability to communicate and interact socially. It affects 1 in 110 children. The cause and cure of autism are not known." Taken from The Tennessean 6/8/2010
